Robert T. Woodburn, M.D.

Dr. Woodburn is a board certified Radiation Oncologist practicing in Northwest Indiana. He grew up in Merrillville, Indiana, and did his training at Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis, Indiana.  While there, he gained expertise in gamma knife radiosurgery, high dose rate brachytherapy, stereotactic body radiosurgery, and prostate brachytherapy. He then practiced for three years in Evansville, Indiana, with Oncology Hematology Associates.

Dr. Woodburn moved back to Northwest Indiana to help develop the Oncology Institute of Methodist Hospital and to be closer to his family. He has many publications on subjects such as gamma knife radiosurgery, childhood brain tumors and gynecologic malignancies. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology and the Indiana State Medical Association. His interests include spending time with his family, water sports, golf, the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears.
